Bronze crosses, ceramics, and jewelry from the 13th–14th centuries were discovered by archaeologists during excavations of a medieval quarter in Perperikon. The village of Skalishte is about ten kilometers from Kardzhali. Nearly every second person there claims to have encountered ghosts. What’s surprising is that the stories of the locals oddly coincide with the discoveries made by archaeologists.
